Lead engineering at Brivo as Vice President of Engineering, based in Austin, Texas, with a focus on cloud and media engineering, including video platforms. Set technical direction and oversee the engineering teams that build and run our cloud video and media systems. Guide architecture decisions that balance quality, scale and cost. Work with the CTO, Product and other engineering leaders on the roadmap. Hire and develop engineers and engineering managers, including streaming and media roles. 

Brivo is building a cloud-native platform for access control and video, and the engineering challenges are real: scale, quality and reliability at global reach. I’m the Vice President of Engineering at Brivo, based in Austin, Texas, and I studied at Northern Illinois University. I joined Eagle Eye Networks in December 2020 as Director of Engineering, and I continued as Director of Engineering at Brivo after the companies merged in December 2025. I became Vice President of Engineering in September 2026. Before that I spent almost eleven years at Lifesize, a video conferencing company. I started as a Manager of Video Software, leading senior engineers on a shared video stack with low latency, and I rose to Senior Director of Cloud and Media Engineering. There I led teams of architects and engineers who redesigned our server architecture to scale, supported calls with hundreds of participants, and moved clients to WebRTC across platforms.

Please note that real-time video and cloud experience are valuable, so give specific examples where you can. Ask about how we make architecture decisions and how engineering works with product, because it shows how the team operates.
